I am a certified car nut. The kind that constantly names vehicle models approaching from a distance to whomever is in the vehicle with me. This is the first time I have ever seen or heard of this car. When clicking on the video, I assumed it was a Malibu SS.

The company just took the ss out of the Chevy impala made a car out of it and tried to double up off one car and failed ruining the impala SS went unnoticed just like the caprice Chevy know how to slash up classic cars

Well the model after this SS (or Commodore as it's originally named) is now made in Europe due to cease in production. Look up 'Holden Astra' and it's basically a Corsa, Aus had the Corsa design for Astras ever since they were a thing. Almost like how the BRZ and GT86 look the same but im this case its Chevy, Pontiac, Opel and Vauxhall. Pretty sure Holden copied Opel and Vauxhall's compact Euro designs and Pontiac abd Chevy took Holden's Muscle/sedan design. Same cars all round

It was not a failure, it was an underrated beauty with bad marketing. Also, it is cut a bit before the Impala and Cruze, so idk what is it special about this one cut off.
Half of your "Holden" guesses were wrong as it is up to GM to decide these, not to mention that in general, your complaints are mostly hateful and for minor details. You usually comment on these details as something positive on other cars, so please let us be more honest.

NOTE: I changed my dislike into a like.

I have the bread crumbs on my Malibu and it is damn useful honestly. The key hole will also start up your car when the fob is dead in case yours was a push start. While my car does not have the rev light situation, my Malibu is much worse with the trunk, you can not open it manually even from inside!

Well Holden (the Australian Chevy) ceased production a couple years ago and are now being manufacture overseas, and they don't make them in the V8 variant anymore, they're pretty boring now. So basically the new Holden Commodore is very unpopular here in Aus even though it was one of the most iconic brands in Aus history.

The US dollar is worth less than an AU Dollar. So the markup had to be substantial in order to turn a profit. Add that to shipping, converting them to LHD, and a new facelift.

50k for this is not unreasonable. But the Dodge Charger/300 already owned this class (RWD,V8, sports sedan) and they sold them for much cheaper.

I believe it was a failure for that reason alone. Majority who are looking for a sports sedan want it to LOOK sporty and fast, even if it’s not fast. Whereas the SS appealed to a very select market (myself included), that want a fast and fun car without needing to rub it in the worlds face. It’s like a much cheaper and more reliable VW Phaeton in a sense.

I don’t think GM wanted this car advertised. It seems it more of a passion project for the people who loved the Pontiac predecessors.

Not sure why they wasted their time importing them if they weren't even going to tell people that they were importing them. I own a 2004 GTO and even after 15 years, I still run into people that have no idea that the GTO was ever resurrected. It's a shame as Holden made some of GM's nicest cars. And now with Holden dead, we'll never get them again.
