always loved these Caddies when I was a kid, still want one. Would take one of these over a Mercedes of its day any day of the week and actually the reliability was great on these. They lasted forever

U can tell doug is a mercedes cock rider ,because there are materials and parts on that cadi that are built better then the mercedes he talks about specially the interior ,he isn't very bright at times

Comparable to 1980 Toyota Crown which also had 4 front lights and alot of chrome as well on whole car. I had that vintage Crown once loved it.

Being an eighties child, this car was one the most wanted cars in that era. They were considered advance compared to cars made earlier. Buick Grand nationals were doing 0-60 times in the mid 7s and were considered fast ! 😂

Almost all american cars from early On, and well into the 80’s had the pull knob switch for the headlights. Johnny cash’s “One piece at a time” has a lyric that talks about assembling a cadillac out of stolen parts, and they only had three headlights- “but when we pulled out the switch all three of ‘em come on”. That song was written in ‘76. It wasn't just a Cadillac thing. The glove box trunk button was another common feature; it’s for security. On most older cars, and modern cars as well, you can lock your glovebox. If the trunk button was anywhere else on the dash, it would be easy to break into the trunk. Some of these features are outlined in detail in the owners manual he obviously didn't bother reading before doing a half hour “review” of one of the last of the real big body caddies. And other commenters are dead on- if you haven't ridden in a classic american land yacht, you have no idea what you are missing. I’ve had a 70 Fleetwood, three 79 Continentals, a 78 ford LTD, a 73 Cadillac Miller-meteor, and an 83 Cadillac Collins. They’re called boats or yachts cause you FLOAT down the road. Nothing else comes close to the feeling. Cars these says are overpriced, disposable garbage. I was born Two decades too late.

I believe the Caprice LS and the Fleetwood were built on the same platform. But the Caprice LS Brougham was a way better car and less money. My parents brought a New LS Caprice with leather and everything that the Cadiilac Brougham has for less than 17k new and the Cadillac was 40k. The Chevy Caprice LS had better resale value as well. Mom and dad drove her 4 years and got 12k in trade.
