I hope they didn't just suddenly stop taking their bc😬 because if I remember it right that's not the healthiest way to do it.

having some pimples/spots doesn’t mean u have acne. one break out doesn’t mean you have acne.

Did the girl get fibroids due to taking birth control? I read a comment on another site that said birth control causes fibroids.

My BC completely got rid of my period, even when I’m on the sugar pills. No cramps and no more heavy periods anymore. I don’t think it’s really affecting me this past year or so.

BC has literally given me a life. Before I went on it, I couldn’t leave the house because of cramps, vomiting, getting no sleep. And now I literally have a whole new lease of life. I’ve had virtually no side effects, bar a little water bloat during the first 3 months, and I’ve never been happier with my decision to go on BC

I was given an IUD over the summer and I've got to say, not a lot of positives. It's a no from me. Acne everywhere, periods erratic as much as they were before, depression basically bounding me to my bed. I've never been so miserable. But I'm on it because I needed the progesterone due to having precancerous cells in my endometrium. Sooooo here we are. Thanks body, you the best.

Im with BC pill for almost a year now, before that my gynecologist offered me an IUD, the person who put it on me did it wrong and punctured the wall of my uterus, I spent days in bed with immense pain thinking it was normal, I was 1 day away from surgery to remove it when another gynecologist took it out carefully and saved me, after that I was already traumatized .. before the pill my periods where long, and super painful to the point of vomit sometimes, now i almost have no pain and if a have they are NOTHING compare to what i used to have... i did gain some weight but i was super skinny back then and im super happy now with the weight that im now, so.. gonna keep taking BC pill, im worried a little bit about my colesterol because it spiked a little and a secondary effects are clots.. you just have to be attentive and listen to your body

Before taking birth control pills my stupid dermatologist thought i had a lot of acne because of my “anxious personality” and even convince me to go with a psychologist. So i read online birth control pill could help me with acne and only took 2 months for the pill to work and my face was incredible clean.

I love my birth control pill. I have been taking it since 4 years ago. It’s called: ilimit. My mood was the same as always, i never gain weight. And help to get rid off my acne. The only time i stopped taking it, i started to have a lot of acne and my period wasn’t consistent.

I was on depo for a year. I took myself off because i was feeling depressed kept feeling bloated and angry. I was off of it got about 5 years and i never had my period. Then was told i wasnt able to have kids. I had cysts in my ovaries. I just believed i wouldnt become a mother. I decided not to take birth control for awhile. The cysts went away and i had a surprise pregnancy. My son is 2 yrs old now. I am now on birtj control again and it made my last period wreck havoc on my body. Been on it for almost a year now and it just started changing my period. Had it foe 10 days bery heavy having to change every hour and tonnes of blood clots. It scared me. But i was told it was natural for my age and me being overweight as well. Im honestly thinking of going off birthc control for a bit.

I feel like birth control is being treated as a necessity far too much. My mom used to be on birth control or her period being awful. then she did some research on how terrible it is and how it effects your body in terrible ways. Birth control isn’t something that has to be taken. It’s being chosen. So don’t complain about “having to take it” because you don’t have to.

I went off birth control about five years ago. Lemme tell you, the first six months were ROUGH. My mood was all over the place, I spent a lot of time crying, and my periods were so much worse than they had been on the pill. Eventually my mood stabilized somewhat (though it's still bad during the leadup to my period and a few days after it starts), and I've started getting cramps, which never used to happen to me. I don't miss spending money on the pill or needing to remember to take it, but I totally understand people who want to lessen the symptoms of their natural cycles. Eesh!

I have had extremely bad cramps and it’s been like starting the 3rd month without I believe. I am bleeding so much it’s ridiculous. Hopefully it will get better because it sucks feeling like crap all the time lately. Considering going to the doctor to get on a low dose.

Honestly the nexplanon was the worst one!! I gained SO much weight from it. I went from 140-180 within three years. My appetite was out of control with that damn thing. After getting it taken out I might eat maybe once or twice a day. It’s crazy how that stuff can mess with your body the way it does. Also when trying to eat healthier and workout I had such a hard time losing the weight when on it. I’m now birth control free and I honestly love it.

Which I’m not, but anyways even before I got on birth control I was happy 24/7 I was skinny and not with that fat I didn’t had that much pimple or acne and I would still continue having those cramps and stomachache which isn’t that bad, and by the time I started taking birth control for nearly 2-3 years on birth control, it still the same thing except cramps are more painful then usual and I was breaking out more then usual so I had to buy better skin care and I was depressed to the point I had to be in therapy and I was gaining this unsettling weight every once a while and then when my period comes in I lose all of it then it comes back in again. There are times I wish I ask my mom and ask my sister should I get off of birth control and I understand there concern but I wanna lift that depression I have on shoulder and be free.

I’m just terrified of getting bad periods again as I’m a dancer
